Gardner Repeats As CACC Volleyball Rookie Of The Week

NEW HAVEN, Conn. – The Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) announced its weekly women's volleyball awards on Monday afternoon, with freshman middle blocker Madison Gardner (Oak Hills, Calif.) earning her second-consecutive Rookie of the Week nod.

Gardner led the offense in each of the Clippers' contest this past week, etching her name in the program record behind 19 kills which ties for the fifth-most by a member of the volleyball team in a match on record at Post University before recording a team-best nine terminations in a 3-0 victory at Goldey-Beacom College. She also added on solo block with four assisted in the two matches for five total and two service aces.

For the season, Gardner leads the Clippers behind 2.59 kills per set, 0.66 blocks and 0.35 service aces.

It is her third Rookie of the Week nod this season, adding to her program-record total.

The Clippers begin play in the CACC Championship for the first time in program history on Tuesday, Nov. 19 in a 6 p.m. quarterfinal round tilt at Georgian Court University.
