BRONXVILLE, N.Y. – The Concordia College New York women's volleyball team travels to Georgian Court University on Tuesday, Nov. 19 for the program's first-ever Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Championship contest, with first serve for the quarterfinal-round showdown set for 6 p.m.

Concordia (9-12, 8-11 CACC) makes its first trip to the postseason since the 2006 East Coast Conference (ECC) Championship as the fourth seed from the North Division after concluding the regular season with a 3-0 triumph at Goldey-Beacom College on Saturday, Nov. 16.. The Clippers boast a CACC-leading 17.65 digs per set with 11.02 kills on a .142 hitting percentage on top of 1.54 service aces and 1.26 blocks.
Freshman middle blockers Madison Gardner (Oak Hills, Calif.) sparks the offense behind a team-best 2.59 kills on a .206 clip with 0.66 blocks and 0.35 service aces. Junior libero Nelly Diaz (Land O Lakes, Fla.), the recently-tabbed CACC Defensive Player of the Week, boasts the second-highest dig per set average in the league at 5:23, while sophomore right-side hitter Militza De Hostos (Bayamon, Puerto Rico) dishes out a team-best 4.52 assists.
About the Lions
Georgian Court (27-6, 16-3 CACC) earned the top seed from the South Division riding a four-match winning streak, winning all four by 3-0 scores with the regular season ending with a 3-0 sweep of Dominican College (N.Y.) on Saturday, Nov. 16. The Lions lead the CACC with a .217 hitting percentage while ranking second with 12.08 kills and 11.27 assists on top of 1.91 blocks and 1.88 service aces.
Kinsy Hashke sparks the offense behind 3.14 kills, sixth-best rate in the league, and 0.36 service aces, getting her feeds from Jaime Sweeney who dishes out a team-best 4.94 assists. Emily McCurley anchors the defense behind 4.32 digs, ninth-highest in the CACC, while Amy Bruno leads three Lions ranked in the top-10 of the conference for blocks behind a 0.92 average which places third with Shena Rayside ranking fifth with 0.80 and Grace Fenn sitting 10th with 0.72.
