Volleyball Heads To Georgian Court For Tri-Match

BRONXVILLE, N.Y. – The Concordia College New York women's volleyball team travels to Georgian Court University on Saturday, Oct. 26 for a tri-match, taking on the host Lions in a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) match at 11 a.m. before taking on Lincoln College (Pa.) in a non-conference tilt at 1 p.m.

Concordia (5-8, 5-7 CACC) enters the tri-match after a 3-0 victory at Dominican College (N.Y.) on Thursday, Oct. 24. The Clippers boast a CACC-leading 17.44 digs per set with 10.67 kills on a .140 hitting percentage on top of 1.44 service aces and 1.23 blocks.

Freshman middle blockers Madison Gardner (Oak Hills, Calif.) sparks the offense behind a team-best 2.58 kills with a 0.71 blocks per set rate that ranks ninth in the CACC and 0.38 service aces. Junior libero Nelly Diaz (Land O Lakes, Fla.) boasts the fifth-highest dig per set average in the league at 4.90, while sophomore right-side hitter Militza De Hostos (Bayamon, Puerto Rico) dishes out a team-best 4.38 assists.

About the Lions
Georgian Court (19-5, 10-2 CACC) hosts the the tri-match riding a five-match win streak with four-straight 3-0 decisions, most recently defeating Wilmington University (Del) on Thursday, Oct. 24. The Lions average 12.17 kills on a .205 clip with 14.43 digs, 1.81 blocks and 1.69 service aces.

Kinsy Haschke paces the offense behind the fifth-highest kills per set rate in the league at 3.22 and 0.38 service aces, getting her feeds from Jaime Sweeney who dishes out a team-best 4.83 assists. Emily McCurley anchors the defense behind 4.34 digs, ninth-best average in the league, while Amy Bruno boasts 0.86 blocks which ranks fifth in the league.

About the Lions
Lincoln (1-16) makes the trip to Lakewood after an 0-4 showing at the Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA) Roundup. The Lions average 5.25 kills per set on a -.027 clip with 4.54 assists, 10.31 digs, 1.40 blocks and 1.33 service aces.

Kaiya Lewis leads the offense behind 1.55 kills with a team-best 0.80 blocks, getting her feeds from Tierra Russaw who dishes out 3.25 assists on top of a team-high 0.44 service aces. Tymera Crudop boasts a team-best 3.17 digs .
