BRONXVILLE, N.Y. – The Concordia College New York women's volleyball team concludes the opening leg of its Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) North Division home-and-home series on Tuesday, Oct. 8 when Dominican College (N.Y.) comes to the Meyer Athletic Center for a 6 p.m. matchup.

Concordia (2-4, 2-4 CACC) wraps up a brief two-match homestand after falling against Chestnut Hill College 3-1 on Saturday, Oct. 5. The Clippers lead the CACC, and rank 16th amongst all National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division II programs with 18.60 digs per set on top of 11.16 kills that ranks third in the conference on a .131 hitting percentage with 1.44 blocks and 1.44 service aces.

Freshman middle blockers Madison Gardner (Oak Hills, Calif.) sparks the offense behind a team-best 2.52 kills and .186 hitting percentage while ranking in the top-10 of the CACC in service aces and blocks with rates of 0.56 and 0.84 that place fifth and sixth respectively. Junior libero Nelly Diaz (Land O Lakes, Fla.) boasts the second-highest dig per set average in the league with 5.08, while sophomore right-side hitter Militza De Hostos (Bayamon, Puerto Rico) dishes out a team-best 4.28 assists.

About the Chargers
Dominican (0-11, 0-5 CACC) makes the trip to Bronxville after falling at home against the University of the Sciences 3-1 on Saturday, Oct. 5. The Chargers average 6.86 kills on a .066 clip with 9.08 digs, 6.51 assists, 1.51 service aces and 0.85 blocks.

Deanna Knopf registers a team-high 1.67 kills, getting her feeds from Sara Hayward who dishes out a team-leading 3.21 assists. Dawn Brassow anchors the defense behind 2.15 digs, while Malia Robinson boasts a team-best 0.36 blocks and 0.31 service aces.
