Clippers Drop CACC Road Match to Nyack, 3-0

Nyack, N.Y. - The Concordia Clippers women's volleyball team visited the Nyack Warriors on Wednesday evening for a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) match. Concordia would drop a 3-0 decision to Nyack in their second meeting of the season.

The Clippers would drop the opening set 25-12 and then followed with a 25-15 defeat in the second set. Concordia would score 22 points in the third set but it would not be enough as the Clippers dropped a 25-22 decision.

With the win for Nyack they improved to 11-2 in CACC play and now have won the past two matches against Concordia.

Senior Irina Impellittiere (Cold Spring, N.Y.) recorded a team-high nine kills for the Clippers to lead the offense while junior Samantha Kurtzke (Montvale, N.J.) added four kills. Senior Hillary Hoffman (East Meadow, N.Y.) recorded a team-high 16 assists while senior Brittany Chappas (Islip, N.Y.) recorded a match-high 19 digs on the defensive end.

Concordia (1-12, 1-12 CACC) will return home for their next match which is on Friday night. The Clippers will host Post for a CACC match as fans unable to attend the match can follow the action via the live stats and video link under the women's volleyball page on ConcordiaClippers.com.
