Concordia Wins 3-1 over Bloomfield

Bronxville, NY – The Concordia College Clippers women's volleyball team were looking to ride the momentum of their recent victory as they welcomed Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) opponent Bloomfield College this evening. After dropping the first set, the Clippers went on to win 3-1 for their fourth conference win of the season.

The Deacons jumped out to a 13-3 lead as the Clippers did not have an answer to counter with. Bloomfield put the set away with a 25-9 win in what looked like was going to be a dominating performance by the Deacons.

In the second set, the Clippers would turn the tables as they jumped out to a large lead and never looked back. Concordia took the second set victory 25-13 to tie the match at 1-1. The third set had both teams playing to their strong points. Good ball movement and precise setting by the Clippers enabled them to win the third set, 25-22.

Concordia, now leading 2-1, entered the fourth set determined to close the game out. The Clippers managed to build a seven point lead midway through the set. Concordia went on to score six straight points at the end, winning the set 25-15.
