Women’s Tennis Travels To Post Wednesday, Host Lewis Thursday

BRONXVILLE, N.Y. – The Concordia College New York women's tennis team treks to Post University for a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) contest on Wednesday, Oct. 9 before quickly returning to the Meyers Tennis Center for a non-conference clash against Lewis University on Thursday, Oct. 10. First serve for both matches is scheduled for 3 p.m.

About the Clippers
Concordia (6-0, 5-0 CACC) begins a pivotal four-match week after defeating Chestnut Hill College 6-1 on Saturday, Oct. 5.

Junior Ann Kathrin Wirlitsch (Dresden, Germany) boasts an unblemished 11-0 dual-match record this season, pairing up with freshman Alexandra Dumitrescu (Spring, Texas) in the Clippers' only undefeated doubles duo with a 5-0 record to go with her 6-0 mark individually. Dumitrescu adds a 5-0 singles record to her undefeated doubles mark, while freshmen Paula Palero (Cullera, Spain) and Ebba Rosberg (Stockholm, Sweden) are both 6-0 in singles play and 5-1 in doubles to match Wirlitsch for the team lead with 11 combined victories.

About the Eagles
Post (5-5, 3-2 CACC) hosts Concordia in the final contest of a four-match homestand following a 7-0 setback against Goldey-Beacom College on Saturday, Oct. 5.

Alexandra Dereban boasts a team-high 13 combined triumphs, going 7-3 in singles play and 6-4 in doubles alongside Macha Mourier.

About the Flyers
Lewis travels to Concordia for its first dual match of the 2019-20 season after most recently competing in the Northwestern Wildcat Invtie.
