About the Clippers
Concordia (0-1) treks to Pace following a 6-2 season-opening setback at Queens College (N.Y.) on Sunday, Sept. 8.
Freshman midfielder Leigh-Ann Ramsay (Bronx, N.Y.) and sophomore forward Jimena Garcia-Risoto (Madrid, Spain) both scored in the season opener, with Ramsay taking a team-high seven shots with three on target. Garcia-Risoto took five shots with two on goal, while junior midfielder Cassandra Iantomasi (Oshawa, Ontario, Canada) took one shot.
In goal, freshman Meagan Meuweisse (Beacom, N.Y.) stopped seven shots over 49:05 minutes in her collegiate debut, while redshirt-sophomore Sophia Cogan (Seal Beach, Calif.) stopped two shots in 40:55 minutes at Queens.
About the Setters
Pace (3-0) returns to Pace Stadium, where the Setters have already bested Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) programs Georgian Court University and Post University, after defeating New York Tech 3-0 on Tuesday, Sept. 10. The Setters are averaging 4.33 goals per game on a .255 shot percentage with six assists while surrendering 1.00 goals.
Cecilia Puentes leads the offense behind four goals and one assists, while Isabel Villar and Victoria Barris both contribute two goals and two assists. Puentes and Barris both have taken nine shots, with six of Puentes landing on goal.
Jade Mallea has logged all 270 minutes in goal for Pace, recording five saves with 1.00 goals per game.
