Concordia Women's Soccer Upended on the Road by Dominican (N.Y.), 3-0

ORANGEBURG, N.Y. - The Concordia College women's soccer team continued their four game road trip on Wednesday afternoon at Dominican College (N.Y.) for a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) game. The Clippers were unable to find the back of the net as Concordia was upended by the Chargers, 3-0.

Concordia began the game with four quick shots in a span of just over a minute as two were blocked in front of the goal. Kaitlyn Montera scored both goals for Dominican in the first half as the goals occurred in the 16th and 28th minutes to give the Chargers the 2-0 lead. The Clippers' final shot of the half came in the 35th minute as it was saved by the Dominican goalkeeper as Concordia trailed 2-0 at halftime.

The Chargers scored their third and final goal of the game in the 47th minute as the offense for the Clippers began being more aggressive with their shots. Concordia took 12 shots in the second half with half testing the Dominican goalkeeper, but the Clippers were unable to get anything past the Chargers as Dominican took the 3-0 victory.

Freshman Christina Majdanski (Yonkers, N.Y.) recorded five saves for Concordia as both teams took 17 shots in the game. The Chargers held a slim 5-3 advantage in corner kick opportunities during the game.

The Clippers (1-9-0, 1-6-0 CACC) will next visit Jefferson University in Philadelphia, Pa. on Saturday afternoon.
