Lakewood, NJ – The Concordia College Clippers women's soccer team traveled to Georgian Court University this afternoon for a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) matchup. The Clippers were unable to find the back of the net as the Lions shutout Concordia 7-0.
Tara Troisi (Freehold, NJ) scored the game winner for the Lions only two minutes in the game off a corner kick. From that point on, the rest of their tallies were insurance goals, of which five came in the first half.
Jessica Nanan (Queens, NY) and Esteffi Gonzalez (West Harrison, NY) shared minutes in the goal for the Clippers and combined for three saves.
Shealyn Sullivan (Buffalo, NY) and Erika Aponte (Springfield, MA) combined for the shutout win in Georgian Court's fifth win of the season.
Concordia (2-8, 0-7 CACC) will host Bloomfield this Wednesday, October 5th for a 3pm match. The game will take place at SUNY Purchase and directions can be found at the Clippers' women's soccer schedule on ConcordiaClippers.com
