Clippers Drop Conference Game at Post, 2-0

Waterbury, Conn. – The Concordia College (N.Y.) Clippers women's soccer team played at Post on Wednesday, a day after the game was postponed due to field conditions. The Clippers made the journey to Connecticut where the Eagles would win their first game of the season, 2-0.

Post's Renel Dennis (Queens, N.Y.) scored the first goal of the game at the 33rd minute mark off a pass from Megan Hanson. Kelly Markure (Naugatuck, Conn.) added the final goal at the start of the second half for the Eagles to secure the 2-0 victory.

The Clippers finished the game with six shots on goal. Jessica Nanan (Queens, N.Y.) made two saves in the game to improve her save percentage to .587.

Concordia (2-4, 0-3 CACC) will next play this Saturday, September 17th at Goldey-Beacom. The game, originally scheduled to be played at Concordia, will be played at the Lighting's home field because of unplayable conditions at Holtdorf Soccer Field.
