BRONXVILLE, N.Y. – The Concordia College New York women's basketball team begins the final week of the 2019-20 season on Wednesday, Feb. 26 with a 5:30 p.m. Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) North Division contest against Dominican College (N.Y.).

About the Clippers
Concordia (6-20, 5-12 CACC) concludes its home-and-home series with Dominican after dropping a 73-69 decision to Felician university on Saturday, Feb. 22. The Clippers lead the CACC behind 11.1 team steals, the 25th-highest average amongst all Division II programs with 288 total which ranks 25th nationally, while averaging 60.8 points on a .331 field goal percentage with 40.6 rebounds, 12.9 assists and 2.8 blocks.

Senior guard Nicole Nicholson (Staten Island, N.Y.) leads the CACC in steals per game and ranks 18th nationally behind a 2.8 rate for 73 total which sits 16th in the country on top of a team-best 11.4 points. Junior guard Shanice Graves (Brooklyn, N.Y.) joins in Nicholson in the top-10 of the conference in steals with 2.1, sixth-highest in the league, on top of 10.3 points and a team-best 0.6 blocks while freshman forward Jaayden Lafontant (Thiells, N.Y.) pulls down a team-high 6.3 rebounds including 3.3 offensive boards which ranks fourth in the league. Sophomore guard Sara Hopkins (Mountain Top, Pa.) dishes out 3.8 assists which ranks sixth within the conference over 36.7 minutes which places second in the CACC and 21st nationally, while freshman guard Christina Brown (Ardmore, Pa.) chips in 11.1 points with the seventh-most free throws made in the conference at 79.

About the Chargers
Having already secured a CACC Quarterfinal home contest, Dominican (13-13, 11-6 CACC) hosts Concordia after besting Caldwell University 77-69 on Saturday, Feb. 22. The Chargers average 66.8 points on a .396 clip with 40.0 rebounds, 14.5 assists, 9.2 steals and 3.7 blocks.

Taylor Tomlinson sparks the Chargers' offense behind 13.1 points, adding a team-leading 6.7 rebounds and 1.1 blocks that ranks eighth within the league. Korina Guerra contributes 11.5 points, while Ashley Merritt records 3.5 assists with Alexis Suarez tallying 1.5 steals.
