WILMINGTON, Del. –Sophomore guard Sara Hopkins (Mountain Top, Pa.) and freshman guard Christina Brown (Ardmore, Pa.) each recorded a double-double for the Concordia College New York women's basketball team on Saturday afternoon, with the Clippers using a second-half rally to cut a 17-point halftime deficit to host Goldey-Beacom College down to four with under four minutes remaining but unable to complete the comeback in a 67-54 Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) setback.

STANDOUT PERFORMERS
• Brown scored 18 points with 11 rebounds for her second collegiate double-double while adding a team-high three steals and two assists.
• Hopkins added 15 points with 10 boards for her third double-double of the campaign.
• Freshman guard Marigona Bacaliu (Worcester, Mass.) chipped in nine points off the bench.
• For Goldey-Beacom, Amanda McGrogan scored 18 points while Alexis Harrison added 16 points with 13 rebounds and Lexi Weikert logged 16 points with four assists.
HOW IT HAPPENED
• After splitting the initial 10 points of the contest, the host used a 6-0 run to take an 11-5 lead with 3:56 left in the first quarter. Concordia countered with back-to-back baskets to make it a one-possession contest, but a pair of free throws for the Lightning with 27 seconds left in the stanza pushed the advantage to 13-9.
• Goldey-Beacom opened the second quarter with a 9-0 run to boast a 22-9 score with 6:26 remaining in the half. The Clippers ended the run off a layup, with each side connecting on a free throw before back-to-back GBC baskets made it 27-12 with 3:51 left in the quarter. The host extended the separation to 35-16 in the final minute of the quarter before a three-point play from sophomore forward Amaya Rich (White Plains, N.Y.) and free throw for the Lightning created a 36-19 halftime score.
• Neither side connected on consecutive baskets in the third quarter until a 6-0 Concordia run made it 40-30 with 4:34 left in the frame. The Clippers used a Bacaliu layup and Hopkins triple back-to-back to cut the gap to single digits at 42-35, and ended the frame with the final four points to make it 43-39 going into the final 10 minutes.
• Goldey-Beacom used a 6-0 start to the fourth quarter to recreate its double-digit advantage at 49-39 with 8:35 left to play. Hopkins ended the spree with a basket, sparking a 7-1 rally to make it 50-46 with 3:47 remaining in the contest. The Lightning used a triple to add a cushion to its lead, while holding Concordia without consecutive baskets until the final 20 seconds of the contest to maintain its lead.
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE
• The Clippers converted on 18-61 shots, going 3-18 from three-point territory and 15-23 from the free throw line.
• Goldey-Beacom finished 22-60 from the field, 6-17 from distance and 17-27 from the free throw line.
• The Clippers recorded five assists while GBC had 13.
• Concordia held a 46-44 advantage in rebounds.
• Concordia committed 21 turnovers, resulting in 16 points for Goldey-Beacom. The host had 17 turnovers, leading to 16 points.
• Concordia recorded seven steals with three blocks while the Lightning had seven steals with three blocks.
• Concordia got 14 points from its bench while Goldey-Beacom got 10.
