NYACK, N.Y. –Freshman guard Christina Brown (Ardmore, Pa.) recorded her first collegiate double-double on Tuesday evening, with the back-to-back Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Rookie of the Week honoree scoring a team-high 21 points with 11 rebounds in the Concordia College New York women's basketball team's 72-67 setback at North Division foe Nyack College.

STANDOUT PERFORMERS
• Brown added three assists and one steal to her team-leading points and rebounds totals.
• Sophomore forward Amaya Rich (White Plains, N.Y.) went 4-4 from the field and 4-5 from the free throw line for a career-high 12 points.
• Junior guard Shanice Graves (Brooklyn, N.Y.) pulled down 10 rebounds.
• Sophomore guard Sara Hopkins (Mountain Top, Pa.) dished out six assists.
• For Nyack, Kyla Given scored 18 points with 10 rebounds and three steals while Sarah Wilson recorded five assists.
HOW IT HAPPENED
• After exchanging baskets to kick off the contest, Nyack used a 6-1 run to pull ahead 8-3 with 6:44 left in the first quarter. A three-point play from Rich made it a one-possession contest, but a quick five-point run from the host extended the separation to 13-6 with 4:26 left in the quarter. Concordia flipped the advantage behind a 13-0 run to take a 19-13 advantage, with the Clippers ending the frame ahead 23-16.
• Nyack scored six points in the first minute of the second quarter to quickly make it a one-point contest at 23-22 with 9:09 left in the half. Freshman forward Jaayden Lafontant (Theills, N.Y.) ended the run off a jumper, but a 4-0 Warriors run gave the host a 26-25 edge with 7:54 remaining in the quarter. Brown put Concordia back on top with a three pointer, with Concordia holding onto the lead until a 5-0 run by Nyack to end the half capped by a triple with six seconds left created a 38-36 halftime score.
• Following a 6-2 start to the third quarter by Nyack, Concordia scored six-straight to knot the score at 44-all with 6:34 left in the frame. The two sides split the ensuing eight points to keep the score tied before back-to-back layups from Brown and Hopkins gave the Clippers a 52-48 advantage with 51 seconds remaining in the quarter. Nyack scored a layup in the final minute of the quarter to make it a one-possession game heading into the final 10 minutes at 54-52.
• The Warriors scored the initial basket of the fourth quarter to even the score, with each side connecting on a layup to keep the score tied before a 6-0 spurt from Concordia pushed the Clippers ahead 60-54 with 6:13 left to play. Nyack used a 7-0 rally to take a 61-60 lead, with a Rich free throw knotting the score before a Warriors basket created a 63-61 score with 4:11 left to play. Concordia reclaimed the lead behind a 4-0 run, with neither side connecting on consecutive baskets until a late 6-0 Nyack run to end the contest created the final score.
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE
• The Clippers converted on 24-63 shots, going 4-22 from three-point territory and 15-25 from the free throw line.
• Nyack finished 28-56 from the field, 5-14 from distance and 11-20 from the free throw line.
