PHILADELPHIA, Pa. – Despite forcing Jefferson University to commit a season-high 22 turnovers on Saturday afternoon, the Concordia College New York women's basketball team dropped a 73-57 Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) decision to the hosting Rams.

• Jefferson improves to 6-8, 3-3 in league play.
STANDOUT PERFORMERS
• Freshman guard Christina Brown (Ardmore, Pa.) scored 15 points with a team-leading seven rebounds and four assists.
• Senior guard Nicole Nicholson (Staten Island, N.Y.) chipped in 15 points with four steals.
• Junior guard Shanice Graves (Brooklyn, N.Y.) scored a team-high 16 points.
• Freshman forward Jaayden Lafontant (Thiells, N.Y.) recorded a personal-best four steals.
• For Jefferson, Sabria Lytes tallied 17 points and 10 rebounds off the bench while Maddie Haney boasted 13 points with 12 rebounds and four assists.
HOW IT HAPPENED
• Trailing 5-2 early in the contest after five-straight points by the host, Concordia went on an 8-0 run to take a 10-5 lead with 4:30 left in the quarter. Jefferson responded with five-unanswered points to knot the score at 10-all, with both sides connecting on a basket to keep the score tied at 12-12 before a sophomore guard Sara Hopkins (Mountain Top, Pa.) free throw and Graves triple sandwiching a pair of Rams' free throws down the stretch gave Concordia a 16-14 advantage.
• Concordia kicked off the second quarter with a 6-2 start to pull ahead 22-16 with 7:01 remaining in the frame, but Jefferson ended the period with 18 of the final 20 points to go into halftime with a 34-24 lead.
• Nicholson forced a Jefferson turnover on the first possession of the third quarter and converted it for two points, only for back-to-back baskets from Jefferson making it 38-26 with 9:04 remaining in the quarter. Concordia evened the score at 41-all behind a 15-3 rally, with a Jefferson basket after the equalizing basket sparking a 7-2 stretch that created a 48-43 score with 2:33 left in the quarter. The two sides split the final eight points of the frame to maintain the five-point separation at 52-47.
• After exchanging baskets to behind the fourth quarter, Jefferson went on an 8-0 run to recreate its double-digit advantage at 62-49 with 5:44 remaining in the contest. Concordia cut the deficit down to single digits behind an 8-3 rally, but Jefferson ended the contest with the final eight points.
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE
• The Clippers converted on 22-62 shots, going 6-28 from three-point territory and 7-17 from the free throw line.
• Jefferson finished 28-54 from the field, 4-10 from distance and 13-17 from the free throw line.
• Concordia recorded 13 assists while Jefferson had 14.
• Jefferson held a 45-31 advantage in rebounds.
• Concordia committed 17 turnovers, resulting in 22 points for Jefferson. The host had 22 turnovers, leading to 18 points.
• Concordia recorded 15 steals with two blocks while the Jefferson had seven steals with six blocks.
• Concordia got eight points from its bench while Jefferson got 27.
