BRONXVILLE, N.Y. – The Concordia College New York women's basketball team kicks off the 2019-20 season at the Georgian Court Tip-Off Classic, facing Assumption College in Lakewood, N.J. on Saturday, Nov. 9 at 2 p.m. and Southern New Hampshire University on Sunday, Nov. 10 at noon.

About the Clippers
Concordia returns to the hardwood after a 7-21 season, going 5-14 in Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) play. The Clippers averaged 60.9 points on a .370 field goal percentage with 35.1 rebounds, 13.6 assists, 8.2 steals and 2.2 blocks.

Senior guard Nicole Nicholson (Staten Island, N.Y.) returns after ending the 2018-19 season with the third-highest steals per game rate within the CACC at 2.5, adding 11.0  points. Sophomore guard Sara Hopkins (Mountain Top, Pa.) also returns following a freshman campaign where she averaged 8.1 points, and 2.9 assists.

About the Hounds
Assumption enters the new season after going 14-14 during the 2018-19 campaign with a 9-12 mark in Northeast 10 Conference. The Hounds average 64.4 points on a .407 clip with 37.4 rebounds, 15.1 assists, 6.0 steals and 3.3 blocks.

Brianna Capacchione is the top-returning scorer for Assumption, averaging 9.6 points during her junior campaign. Meghan Reen returns after dishing out a team-best 3.2 assists las year with 0.9 steals while Felayi led the team in rebounds with 6.1 last season.

About the Penmen
Southern New Hampshire travels to the Georgian Court Tip-Off Tournament on the heels of a 17-12 season, going 11-10 in NE10 play. The Penmen averaged 71.7 points last year on a .413 field goal percentage with 39.3 points, 15.3 assists, 7.9 steals and 3.1 blocks.

Gyanna Russell represents the top-returning scorer for Southern N.H. after chipping in 8.8 points during her sophomore year. Karlee Ziliak enters her senior year for the Penmen after contributing 7.4 points, 2.1 assists and a team-best 2.0 steals last season.
