BRONXVILLE, N.Y. – The Concordia College New York women's basketball team volunteered at Wartburg in Mount Vernon, N.Y. last week, playing bingo with the residents of the local nursing home.

"Our trip to Wartburg was a great experience," junior center Amiya Rankins (Somerset, N.J.) said. "Bringing together individuals from all walks of life allowed us to reflect on the beauties of togetherness."

"Seeing a patient's face light up while playing games with us made my heart warm and made me realize I choose the right career to help others." Junior guard Nicole Nicholson (Staten Island, N.Y.) said.

Voted one of best nursing homes in New York by U.S. News & World Report seven-consecutive years, Wartburg offers the full spectrum of senior care including respite care, home care and adult day care. To learn more about Wartburg, go to https://www.wartburgny.com/
