A pair of Cleckley free throws ended the spree, with a Cleckley layup following the free throws making it a one-possession game before back-to-back Felician baskets made it 13-6 with 5:05 remaining in the frame. Concordia responded with a 6-0 run off a triple from Hopkins and free throws from Nicholson and Rankins to make it a one-point game, but a triple for Felician added separation at 16-12 with 3:40 remaining in the quarter. Rankins cut the lead in half with a jump shot, with a Nicholson basket in response to a Felician jumper keeping the two-point separation before a layup and three pointer from the host extended the gap up to 23-16 with 42 seconds left in the frame. Clement scored a basket in the final seconds of the quarter, creating a 23-18 score.

Hopkins scored five of the Clippers last six point of the half, with Felician holding a 43-40 advantage at the intermission.

• Hopkins scored the opening basket of the second half, with the two sides exchanging layups until a three pointer from Corbett evened the score with another shot from beyond the arc from the sophomore after a pair of free throws from Felician giving Concordia a 54-53 lead with 5:39 remaining in the quarter. Felician reclaimed the lead with a jumper, but a 10-0 run to end the frame propelled the Clippers to a 64-55 lead.
