BRONXVILLE, N.Y. – Sophomore forward Sabrina Clement (Queens, N.Y.) recorded her second double-double of the season on Wednesday evening behind a career-high 15 points with five members of the Concordia College New York women's basketball team finishing the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) matchup with double-digit points, but a 30-point fourth quarter from Dominican College (N.Y.) after the Clippers outscored the CACC North-Division leaders by 16 points in the third quarter to create a double-digit lead propelled the visitors to an 82-79 result.

STANDOUT PERFORMERS
• Clement shot 7-13 from the floor to go with 10 rebounds, seven off the offensive glass.
• Freshman guard Sara Hopkins (Mountain Top, Pa.) scored a team-leading 19 points, going 5-6 from the floor and 7-7 from the free throw line, on top of a team-leading three assists.
• Junior guard Cameron Corbett (Staten Island, N.Y.) chipped in 14 points.
• Junior center Amiya Rankins (Somerset, N.J.) tallied 11 points.
• Sophomore forward Jordyn Hornbuckle (Hopkinsville, Ky.) scored 10 points.
• For Dominican, Kyla Ramseur scored 19 points with seven assists while Jasmine Gee pulled down six rebounds.
HOW IT HAPPENED
• Dominican began the contest with the opening seven points, before a basket from Clement got the Clippers on the scoreboard with 6:33 remaining in the quarter. Concordia made it a one possession game off a junior guard Nicole Nicholson (Staten Island, N.Y.) layup, but a 10-2 stretch for the Chargers extended the gap to double-digits at 17-6 with 3:52 to go in the frame. Five-straight points from Rankins cut into the gap only for back-to-back baskets from the visitors making it 21-11 with 1:14 to play in the opening quarter. Hopkins scored the final basket of the frame off a triple, creating a 21-14 score.
• Back-to-back baskets for Concordia made it a three-point contest, but a 9-0 retort propelled Dominican to a 30-18 lead with 6:48 remaining. Nicolson ended the run via a jumper, with the two sides splitting the ensuing 16 points before a 9-0 rally for the Clippers off back-to-back-to-back triples from Clement, Hopkins and Corbett made it a one-point affair at 38-37 with 1:15 to play in the half. Dominican connected on a pair of free throws with six seconds remaining before halftime to give the Chargers a 40-37 edge at the intermission.
• Concordia knotted the score with a triple to start the second half, taking its first lead of the night at 44-43 off back-to-back baskets following a Chargers' triple. The two sides swapped the lead until a 12-0 Clippers run created a 58-47 double-digit lead with 2:28 remaining in the quarter. The Chargers ended the spree with a layup and two free throws, while a 7-1 stretch for the host to end the frame extended the separation to 65-52.
• Dominican used a pair of free throws and triple out of the game to cut the separation to single-digits, but back-to-back layups from Hopkins and sophomore guard Saundra Cleckley (Queens, N.Y.) extended the Clippers lead to 69-57 with 5:56 remaining in the contest. The Chargers used a 14-2 stretch to even the score at 71-all, with a pair of Hopkins free throws keeping Concordia on top before a triple for the visitors gave them a 74-73 edge with 1:41 to play. A Rankins basket flipped the one-point advantage, but a three-point play for Dominican pushed them to a 77-75 lead with 52 seconds left. Clement connected on jump shot on the ensuing play to even the score again, but Dominican took the lead on a layup with under 20 seconds and added a pair of free throws to hold an 81-77 edge with eight seconds left.
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE
• The Clippers converted on 26-58 shots, going 6-13 from three-point territory and 21-26 from the free throw line.
• Dominican finished 26-61 from the field, 8-22 from distance and 22-30 from the free throw line.
• The Clippers dished out 13 assists versus 18 for the visitors.
• Concordia committed 30 turnovers, resulting in 37 points for the Chargers. Dominican committed 19 turnovers, leading to 25 points.
• Concordia held a 46-27 advantage in rebounds.
• Both sides got 21 points off the bench.
• Concordia recorded eight steals with five blocks while Dominican stole the ball 16 times with four blocks.
