BRONXVILLE, N.Y. – The Concordia College New York women's basketball hosted Wilmington University (Del.) on Saturday afternoon, outscoring the visiting Wildcats 52-37 in the second half while shooting .667 (18-27) over the final 20 minutes of play to prevail 78-67 in Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) action.

STANDOUT PERFORMERS
• Junior guard Nicole Nicholson (Staten Island, N.Y.) scored a game-high 20 points with four steals
• Sophomore guard Cameron Corbett (Staten Island, N.Y.) scored 18 points while adding eight assists and five rebounds.
• Sophomore forward Sabrina Clement (Queens, N.Y.) pulled down 10 rebounds to go with a block and steal.
• Junior center Amiya Rankins (Somerset, N.J.) scored 14 points on 6-8 shooting in 14 minutes.
• For Wilmington, Macy Robinson scored 13 points with four assists and four steals while Jadyn Whitsitt recorded 11 points with seven rebounds and six steals.
HOW IT HAPPENED
• Wilmington opened the contest with a jumper, while a triple from Nicholson propelled Concordia to a 3-2 lead with 8:40 remaining. Wilmington pushed ahead 11-8 with 4:41 left in the quarter before an 8-2 stretch flipped the three-point lead at 16-13 with 44 seconds remaining. Wilmington ended the frame with a layup in the final seconds to make it 16-15.
• After a Wilmington basket in response to a Corbett free throw evened the score at 17-all, back-to-back layups from sophomore guard Jordyn Hornbuckle (Hopkinsville, Ky.) and Corbett pushed the Clippers ahead 21-17 with 8:36 remaining in the half. Wilmington answered with 13-straight points to take a 30-21 lead, with Concordia scoring the final five points of the half to create a 30-26 halftime score.
• The two sides split the initial 14 points of the third quarter to keep the four-point separation at 37-33 before back-to-back Wildcats baskets gave the visitors a 41-33 advantage with 5:18 remaining in the frame. Concordia responded with a 9-4 stretch to make it a one-point game at 45-44, eventually taking the lead at 48-47 off a sophomore guard Saundra Cleckley (Queens, N.Y.) layup with 1:08 to go in the quarter. Concordia ended the frame with a 5-2 stretch to make it 53-49.
• Concordia began the final stanza with a 9-2 run to create a double-digit separation at 62-51 with 8:22 to go. Wilmington cut the deficit to four at 66-62 with 3:17 remaining before a 12-1 Concordia run extended the lead to 78-63 with 53 seconds left. Wilmington scored the final four points of the contest to create the final score.

• The Clippers converted on 27-57 shots, going 6-13 from three-point territory and 18-26 from the free throw line.
• Wilmington finished 26-51 from the field, 3-11 from distance and 12-23 from the free throw line.
