BLOOMFIELD, N.J. – Freshman guard Sara Hopkins (Mountain Top, Pa.) and sophomore forward Sabrina Clement (Queens, N.Y.) both set personal-records for the Concordia College (N.Y.) women's basketball team on Wednesday evening, but a 21-8 fourth quarter in favor of host Bloomfield College propelled the Bears to a 64-50 decision in Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) play.

STANDOUT PERFORMERS
• Junior guard Nicole Nicholson (Staten Island, N.Y.) scored a team-best 16 points with three assists.
• Clement pulled down a career-high 12 rebounds.
• Hopkins scored a personal-best 12 points.
• Sophomore guard Cameron Corbett (Staten Island, N.Y.) chipped in 11 points with seven rebounds and two steals.
• For Bloomfield, Bobbi Floyd scored 22 points with six rebounds, two assists and two steals.
HOW IT HAPPENED
• Concordia began the contest with back-to-back layups from Clement and Hopkins before a Bears' basket made it 4-2 with 7:42 remaining. The Clippers doubled the advantage off a sophomore forward Jordyn Hornbuckle (Hopkinsville, Ky.) free throw and triple from Nicholson sandwiching a BC basket to make it 8-4, but a 5-0 run by he hosts created a 9-8 lead with 3:13 left in the quarter. A three pointer from Corbett put Concordia back on top, with the Bears evening the score on a layup before a Corbett free throw in the final seconds made it 12-11.
• Bloomfield used a three pointer to start the second half to take the advantage, and maintained it until an 8-0 Concordia run off triples from Hopkins and Nicholson plus a jumper from Corbett created a 28-23 lead with 2:30 left in the half. BC responded with five-straight points to even the score, but back-to-back layups from Hopkins and Clement gave the Clippers a 32-28 halftime lead.
• The Bears opened the second half with five-straight points to take a 33-32 lead with 5:52 remaining in the third quarter. Concordia responded with a Nicholson triple, and led by as many as five at 40-35 but Bloomfield ended the stanza with eight of the final 10 points to hold a 43-42 advantage.
• Using an 11-2 run to start the final frame, Bloomfield extended the separation to double-digits at 54-44 with 5:05 to go. Concordia cut into the deficit with back-to-back three pointers from Nicholson and Hopkins, but the Bears held Concordia without a basket for the final 3:30 while adding 10 points to their total.
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE
• The Clippers converted on 18-58 shots, going 8-24 from three-point territory and 6-10 from the free throw line.
• Bloomfield finished 24-60 from the field, 3-20 from distance and 13-21 from the free throw line.
• Concordia dished out 11 assists versus 13 for the hosts.
• Concordia committed 29 turnovers, resulting in 22 points for BC. The Bears committed 14 turnovers, leading to 12 Clippers' points.
• Concordia held a 42-40 advantage in rebounds.
• Concordia recorded six steals with one block while BC stole the ball nine times with two block.
