BRONXVILLE, N.Y. – Fueled by a historic night for sophomore guard Cameron Corbett (Staten Island, N.Y.), the Concordia College (N.Y.) women's basketball team overcame a double-digit halftime deficit on Friday evening to defeat visiting Queens College (N.Y.) 77-65.

STANDOUT PERFORMERS
• Corbett recorded a .667 clip (8-12), tied for the eighth-highest field goal percentage by a Clipper in a single game with a minimun of 10 shots taken. She is the eighth women's basketball player to score 30 or more points in the last decade, with the last one coming from Julianne Wilkinson nearly a year ago to the day with 31 against the New York Institute of Technology on Nov. 29, 2017.
• Sophomore forward Sabrina Clement (Queens, N.Y) pulled down a team-high eight rebounds with a personal-record four blocks on top of 10 points and two steals.
• Sophomore guard Saundra Cleckley (Queens, N.Y.) tallied six assists with two steals and 11 points.
• Freshman guard Sara Hopkins (Mountain Top, Pa.) recorded a career-high seven rebounds.
• Junior guard Nicole Nicholson (Staten Island, N.Y.) scored 11 points with a career-high-matching five steals.
• For Queens, Beth Bonin scored 19 points while Emer Moloney scored 14 with 13 rebounds.
HOW IT HAPPENED
• The two sides split the opening 30 points for a 15-all draw before a quick 5-0 spurt for Queens made it 20-15 with 1:45 remaining in the quarter. Concordia ended the run with a pair of junior center Amiya Rankins (Somerset, N.J.) free throws, only for back-to-back triples for Queens before the frame ended created a 26-17 score.
• Queens extended the separation to double-digits with a made free throw to start the second quarter, adding a layup to their lead before a pair of Clement free throws ended the visitors' run and made it 29-19 with 7:02 remaining in the half. The teams split the final 24 points of the half to keep the 10-point gap heading into halftime at 41-31.
• Concordia began the third quarter with a Corbett triple, but a 6-2 stretch for Queens extended the gap to 47-36 with 6:37 remaining in the quarter. Concordia made it a one possession game at 49-47 behind an 11-2 run, with Clement scoring twice for the Clippers in the final minute to keep it a two-point contest at 53-51 heading into the final quarter.
• The Clippers quickly evened the score with a Cleckley layup, followed by a layup from Corbett to give the hosts their first lead since the opening quarter at 55-53 with 7:38 remaining. Back-to-back three pointers from junior guard Nicholson and Corbett after a pair of Queens's free throws sparked a 10-2 run for the Clippers to give Concordia a double-digit lead at 68-58 with 2:54 to play. Queens brought the separation to single digits with a basket before a 7-1 stretch for Concordia made it 75-61 with 42 seconds left. The visitors made back-to-back jump shots in the final minute, with a pair of free throws for Corbett with five ticks remaining ending the scoring.
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE
• The Clippers converted on 23-53 shots, going 7-10 from three-point territory and 24-30 from the free throw line.
• Queens finished 24-68 from the field, 5-18 from distance and 12-18 from the free throw line.
• Concordia dished out 18 assists versus 13 for the visitors.
• Concordia committed 13 turnovers, resulting in 16 points for Queens. The Knights committed 16 turnovers, leading to 14 points.
• Queens held a 48-33 advantage in rebounds.
• Concordia' bench scored six points while Queens got 14 from its bench.
• Concordia recorded 10 steals with four blocks while Queens stole the ball eight times with two blocks.
