Clippers Women's Basketball Falls at Pace, 94-46

PLEASANTVILLE, N.Y. – The Concordia College women's basketball team visited Pace University on Friday evening for a non-conference game. The Clippers would fall to the Setters, 94-46, at the Goldstein Fitness Center.

In the first quarter Concordia scored the first points, but Pace then scored 19 unanswered points to hold a 19-2 lead at the 3:35 mark. Each side managed to score two points each to end the period as the Setters held a 21-4 advantage after 10 minutes of action.

Pace began the second quarter with a 12-0 run as the Clippers trailed 33-4 with 5:36 to go until halftime. The Setters would out-score Concordia 11-7 for the remainder of the period as the Clippers went into the locker room behind 44-11.

Concordia came out in the third quarter with a 10-5 run for the first four and a half minutes as Pace led 49-21. The Setters would respond with a 15-8 run to conclude the period as the Clippers trailed 64-29.

Pace continued to increase their lead in the third quarter as Concordia began shooting from the outside, knocking down three three-point baskets in the first seven minutes of the period. The Setters would maintain their advantage as Pace secured a 94-46 victory.

Junior Hadiyah Black (Brooklyn, N.Y.) led the Clippers' offense with 15 points as she also had a team-high six rebounds. Junior Julianne Wilkinson (Red Hook, N.Y.) chipped in with 14 points and two steals as Concordia was out-rebounded 49-25.

The Clippers (2-9, 2-2 CACC) will return to Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) action on Sunday afternoon.
