Women's Basketball Drops CACC Game at Holy Family

PHILADELPHIA - The Concordia College women's basketball team concluded their week with a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) matchup at Holy Family University on Saturday afternoon. The Clippers were unable to capture the road win as the Tigers secured a 94-59 victory at the Holy Family Campus Center.

Concordia would fall behind in the early going as Holy Family took a 7-2 lead as the Clippers would use a 5-0 run to cut the deficit to a basket at 13-11 with 14:16 showing on the clock. Concordia got to within a point moments later but an 11-2 run for the Tigers gave the home team a 27-17 advantage with under nine minutes remaining in the half. Holy Family continued to increase their lead, ending the half with another 11-2 run as the Clippers went into the locker room trailing 48-25.

In the second half the Tigers began with 11 unanswered points to take the 59-25 lead. Concordia would then respond with a run of their own as a 15-8 run would spark the Clippers offense. Holy Family would not allow Concordia to continue with their momentum as the Tigers went on to take the 94-59 win.

Sophomore Jessica Rosalbo (Staten Island, N.Y.) led the Clippers with 16 points in the game as junior Khadijah Donaldson (Valley Stream, N.Y.) came off the bench to score 10 points while adding three rebounds.
