Women's Basketball Falls at Southern N.H. in Non-Conference Matchup

MANCHESTER, N.H. - The Concordia College women's basketball team played in their final non-conference game of the season on Saturday afternoon at Southern N.H. The Clippers would not be able to secure the victory at the SNHU Fieldhouse as the Penmen defeated Concordia 61-30.

The Clippers began the first half with the game's first four points and would lead 6-3 until a 15-0 run for SNHU gave the home team the 18-6 advantage with 11:24 remaining in he period. Concordia used six unanswered points later in the half to cut the deficit to single digits, 24-16, with under five minutes to go. The Penmen would close out the half on a 12-1 run as the Clippers went into the locker room trailing 36-17.

In the second half SNHU would hold a 20-point advantage midway through the period. Concordia would not be able to mount a late comeback as the Clippers would fall 61-30. As a team Concordia shot 20.3% from the field wile the Penman shot 34.5% in the game.

Senior Selbe Lo (Dakar, Senegal, Africa) led the Clippers with 10 points while freshman Brianna Hendrick (Valley Stream, N.Y.) recorded nine points and freshman Hadiyah Black (Brooklyn, N.Y.) had a game-high 12 rebounds.

Southern N.H. out-rebounded Concordia 54-41 in the game and also held a 30-14 points in the paint advantage as the Clippers' bench was out-scored 32-5.

Concordia (3-12) will conclude their seven-game road trip on Saturday, January 24th. The Clippers will visit Chestnut Hill College for a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) matchup in Philadelphia, Pa as tip-off is set for 1 p.m. at Sorgenti Arena.
