Clippers Women's Basketball Drops 86-44 Decision to East Stroudsburg at 50th Annual Pocono Classic

EAST STROUDSBURG, Pa. – The Concordia Clippers women's basketball team concluded their visit at the 50th Annual Pocono Classic hosted by East Stroudsburg University on Sunday evening. Concordia would battle the hosts in the final game of the tournament as the Warriors would secure an 86-44 victory at Koehler Fieldhouse.

The first half saw the Clippers being held scoreless for the first 8:49 of the game as East Stroudsburg held a 22-0 advantage. Freshman Julianne Wilkinson (Red Hook, N.Y.) would get Concordia on the scoreboard with the team's first basket and continued to lead the Clippers in the half with 10 of the 18 points. At halftime Concordia trailed the Warriors 43-18.

In the second half East Stroudsburg would continue to maintain their advantage on the scoreboard. Freshman Hadiyah Black (Brooklyn, N.Y.) would lead the Clippers in the second half with 10 points but Concordia would fall to the Warriors, 86-44.

Wilkinson led the Clippers with 15 points while also adding an assist and a steal. Black would finish with 14 points and seven rebounds while adding a team-high three steals and two blocks.

Hadiyah would be named to the 50th Annual Pocono Classic All-Tournament Team after her impressive performances in both games for Concordia during the weekend.

The Clippers (0-6) will return to the court on Saturday, December 6th for a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) game against Goldey-Beacom.
