Lady Clippers Conclude Season with an 85-48 Loss at Felician

Rutherford, N.J. – The Concordia Clippers women's basketball team played in their final game of the season on Tuesday evening as Concordia traveled to Felician College in a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) North Division game. The Golden Falcons would take an 85-48 victory at Job Gym to conclude their regular season.

The first half of the game began with the Clippers falling behind 15-2 in the early going. Felician would open up a 25-8 advantage as Concordia was struggling to shoot the ball in the half. The Clippers would use their free throw shooting to close the game late in the first half as they would trail by 12 with 5:50 to go in the period. The Golden Falcons used an 11-2 run to regain a larger lead as Concordia went into the locker room trailing 41-23.

In the second half Felician came out with 10 unanswered points to take a 51-23 lead. The Clippers would respond with a run of their own as Concordia rallied off 12 consecutive points as the scoreboard displayed a 51-35 lead for the home team with 12:56 to go in the game. The Clippers would get within 12 points midway through the half but the Golden Falcons used a 20-1 run to put the game away as Felician would go on to secure an 85-48 victory.

Freshman Jessica Rosalbo (Staten Island, N.Y.) led Concordia with a career-high 17 points and seven rebounds while adding three steals and an assist. Senior Tara-Ann Rock (Queens, N.Y.) concluded her career for the Clippers with 13 points, two assists, and a steal.

The Golden Falcons shot 46.6% from the field in the game while Concordia shot 25.0%. Felician also held a 48-35 rebounding advantage as the Clippers committed 31 turnovers and allowed 44 points in the paint.
