Concordia Women's Basketball Falls to Holy Family, 65-29

Bronxville, N.Y. – The Concordia Clippers women's basketball team hosted Holy Family University on Saturday afternoon in a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) game. The Tigers would hold Concordia to their fewest point total of the season as Holy Family took a 65-29 decision over the Clippers in the Meyer Athletic Center.

Concordia began the game with an early lead as the Clippers held an 8-4 advantage three minutes into the action. The Tigers would tie the score at 10-10 with 11:43 to go in the half as Concordia would regain the lead after two consecutive baskets by junior Selbe Lo (Dakar, Senegal, Africa). Holy Family ended the half on a 10-3 run as the Clippers went into the locker room trailing 28-20.

In the second half Concordia would go scoreless over the first five-plus minutes as the Tigers opened up a 17-points advantage with 14:14 to go. The Clippers would have another scoreless drought and Holy Family was able to put the game away for good as the Tigers took a 65-29 win.

Lo led Concordia with a season-best 14 points and 15 rebounds while junior Alyssa Dawson (Westwood, N.J.) chipped in with nine points and nine rebounds. The Tigers shot 30.6% from the field in the game while the Clippers shot a season-low 16.2%.

Concordia (0-23, 0-16 CACC) will play in their final home game of the season on Tuesday evening. The Clippers will host CACC North Division foe Caldwell College at 5 p.m. as fans unable to attend the game can follow all of the action via the live video and stats links on ConcordiaClippers.com.
