Women's Basketball Defeated on the Road 85-47 against Bloomfield

Bloomfield, N.J. – The Concordia Clippers women's basketball team visited Bloomfield College for a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) North Division game on Tuesday evening. The Deacons would win 85-47 to sweep the season series against Concordia.

The game would begin with the Clippers falling behind 11-0 but Concordia would respond with a 10-5 run to cut the deficit to six points with 10:33 remaining in the period. Bloomfield would begin to open up a sizable lead and ended the half on an 18-2 run to take a 46-21 advantage into the locker room.

In the second half the Clippers were unable to cut into the Deacons' lead as Bloomfield would hold as much as a 46 point lead in the period. Freshman Victoria Rubin (Staten Island, N.Y.) would end the period making her last three shot attempts, all three-point baskets, but Concordia would fall 85-47 to the Deacons.

Rubin finished the game with a career-high 14 points off the bench to lead the Clippers as she shot 4-of-6 on three-point field goals. Freshman Jessica Rosalbo (Staten Island, N.Y.) added 10 points and three rebounds as Concordia shot 43.2% from the field in the game.

The Clippers (0-18, 0-11 CACC) will next travel to Wilmington (Del.) for their only regular season matchup against the Wildcats.
