Women's Basketball Falls to Caldwell in CACC North Division Game

Caldwell, N.J. – The Concordia Clippers women's basketball team traveled to battle the Caldwell Cougars on Wednesday evening for a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) North Division game. The game marked the final game for Concordia in the 2013 calendar year as the Clippers fell to Caldwell 104-58 at the Newman Center.

Concordia began the game out in front with an 8-5 lead and midway through the half held a 16-14 advantage. The Cougars would use a 7-0 run to take a 25-18 lead with 7:14 left on the clock ended the half scoring five unanswered points to hold a 43-35 advantage going into the locker room.

In the second half the Clippers would fall behind by 25 points after Caldwell began with a 23-6 run to take a 66-41 lead. Concordia was unable to mount a comeback in the period as the Cougars would go on to take a 104-58 victory, their fourth win overall this season.

Junior Mariah Berry (Southington, Conn.) and freshman Jessica Rosalbo (Staten Island, N.Y.) both led the Clippers with 12 points a piece while senior Tara-Ann Rock (Queens, N.Y.) added 10 points. Junior Alyssa Dawson (Westwood, N.J) added a team-high 11 rebounds as Concordia shot 34.2% while Caldwell shot 50.7% from the field.

The Clippers (0-12, 0-5 CACC) will be off for the holiday break until Saturday, Jan. 4th. Concordia will visit Georgian Court for a 1 p.m. game in Lakewood, N.J.
