Concordia Drops Fourth Straight Game, 72-57, at Lincoln (Pa.)

Lincoln University, Pa. – The Clippers women's basketball team played in their final game of the 2012 calendar year on Sunday afternoon at Lincoln University (Pa.). Concordia would struggle shooting in the game as the Lions would take a 72-57 win at the Manuel Rivero Gym.

Both teams would struggle in the opening minutes of play as the Clippers held a 24-20 lead with six minutes left in the half. A 13-0 run by Lincoln would give them a nine point advantage as the Lions went into the locker room with a 33-26 lead.

Concordia battled back to tie the game at 36-36 with 15:11 left in the game. Lincoln would hold a 54-53 lead with 5:06 left as the Clippers would be outscored 18-4 during the remainder of the game as the Lions grabbed their fourth win of the season, 72-57.

Senior Krystina Agard (Queens, N.Y.), junior Tara-Ann Rock (Queens, N.Y.) and sophomore Mariah Berry (Southington, Conn.) all recorded 10 points for Concordia. Agard also recorded a team-high nine rebounds and four assists. The Lions would hold a 16-0 advantage in fast-break points as the Clippers committed a season-high 33 fouls.

Concordia (2-12, 1-5 CACC) will return to Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) action on Saturday, January 5th with a road contest at USciences. Tip off is set for 1pm in Philadelphia, Pa. at the Morgan Arena.
