Agard and Blakemore team up to lead Clippers to victory

The Clippers headed to Philadelphia to face off against the Chestnut Hill College Griffins.  The Clippers and Griffins battled from the get go as they each took their shots.  The Clippers traded off leads with the Griffins seven times while the game was tied up at six other points through the first half.  At the end of the half the Clippers held the smallest of leads; 28-27.

The Griffins opened the second half with claiming the lead over the Clippers once more time.  The Clippers hit a stagnate point on the court as the Griffins worked to push their lead even further.  When the Griffins were up by ten points with 12:12 to go in the game the Clippers stepped on the gas pedal and knocked down back to back three pointers to cut their deficit.  With 6:01 left on the clock the Clippers reclaimed the lead but the Griffins were not about to give up.  Two more lead changes put the Clippers back on top for the final time of the game and they held on to collect the win; 60-54.

Krystina Agard knocked down 24 points and added 9 rebounds and 6 steals for the game.  Chanessa Blakemore pulled down a double-double with 17 points and 14 rebounds.

The Clippers will finish the 2010-2011 regular season this Wednesday, February 23rd as they host the Felician College Golden Falcons at 5:00pm.
