Monahan Leads Clippers to Dominating Win

The Clippers hosted the Wilmington University Wildcats in CACC action today.  The Clippers kicked off the game with a good jumper from Senior Amanda Eggink.  The Wildcats answered back but the Clippers were ready to roll.  The Clippers went on a 16-7 scoring run in the minutes that followed.  The Wildcats brought the Clippers back down to Earth as they cut the Clipper lead down to just three.  The Clippers continuing to play well halted the Wildcats progress and went on a 12-0 run to extended their lead once again.  The Clippers finished the first half of the game up 42-20.  

The Clippers came out roaring in the second half as they continued their dominating play.  The Wildcats tried to cut theiir deficit down but the Clippers were too strong and through the second half the Clippers held their own.  At the end of regulation the Clippers defeated the Wildcats 79-52.

Shelley Monahan took the lead for the Clippers with 31 points.  Krystina Agard hit a double-double with 17 points and 11 rebounds and tacked on 8 assists and 4 steals.  Amanda Eggink put up 7 points and 9 rebounds while Chanessa Blakemore added 7 points and 11 rebounds for the game.

The Clippers will head to Caldwell College on Tuesday, February 15th for a 6:00pm game.
