Clippers just miss against Chargers

The Clippers headed to Dominican College to face off against the Chargers tonight.  The Chargers struck first but the Clippers were right there to answer back.  The Clippers and Chargers matched the others shots through the first several minutes of play.  The Chargers then opened up a six point lead but as the Clippers stepped up, the Chargers lead didn't last very long.  The Clippers kept the Chargers close but were trailing at the end of the first half, 34-38.

The Clippers started the second half as they worked hard and were able to claim the lead away from the Chargers.  The Chargers and the Clippers traded the lead back and forth through the next several minutes.  The game continued to go back and forth until the last minute of the game.  The Chargers held the last lead and though the Clippers were working hard, the Chargers held the Clippers off and took the game.  The Clippers fell to the Chargers 57-61.

Krystina Agard dropped 19 points for the game while Shelley Monahan added 14 points.  Chanessa Blakemore added another double-double to her Clippers resume with 13 points and 16 rebounds.

The Clippers return home this Thursday as they host the Georgian Court University Lions at 5:00pm.
