Clippers fall hard to Tigers

The Clippers Women's Basketball team traveled to Pennsylvania to go toe-to-toe with the Holy Family University Tigers.  The Clippers started off well as they scored the first basket of the game.  A little back and forth game picked up from there for the next few minutes of play as the Tigers and Clippers traded leads and points.  The Tigers then kicked into gear as they took the lead and immediately extended it over the Clippers.  The Tigers blew past the Clippers so fast the Clippers didnt' have time to catch up.  At the end of the half the Clippers trailed the Tigers 28-55.

The Clippers started their second half trying to make up some of the ground that the Tigers built in the first half.  As the Clippers worked to cut the deficit, the Tigers kept on moving forward and grew their lead more.  With time running out for the Clippers the Tigers had taken the game 97-51.

Chanessa Blakemore posted a double-double with 11 points and rebounds while Shelley Monahan added 12 points.

The Clippers will head to Dominincan College on Tuesday, January 25th for a 6:00pm game.
