Clippers stung by swarm of Yellow Jackets

The Clippers hosted the American International College Yellow Jackets in a non-conference showdown at the Meyer Center tonight.  The Clippers started off slow as the Yellow Jackets scored the first points of the game.  The Clippers then brough the game within one as they looked to Krystina Agard for the three.  The Yellow Jackets then halted any progress the Clippers were making as they  went on a 12-2 scoring run over the next eight minutes of play.  The Clippers tried to score but the ball continued to go in and out of the basket.  At the end of the first half the Clippers trailed 13-42.

The Clippers came out in the second half as they tried to make up the deficit they faced.  As the Clippers scored one point the Yellow Jackets matched it with two of their own.  With the trend continuing the Clippers found it difficult to cut the Yellow Jackets lead at all.  At the end of regulation the Clippers fell 34-84.

Krystina Agard led for the Clippers with 9 points while Chanessa Blakemore topped the boards with 10.

The Clippers will head to Post University this Wednesday, January 19th for a 6:00pm game.
