The Clippers hosted the Cougars from Caldwell College earlier tonight in a CACC match-up. The Cougars took the first bucket for themselves but the Clippers answered back. The Clippers then fell behind as the Cougars surged ahead. As the Clippers tried to keep up, they found themselves falling further behind. The Cougars held a dominating lead over the Clippers at the end of the first half; 51-28.
The Clippers started the second half as they went and stepped up their game. The Clippers chipped away the lead the Cougars had built from the first half. Though the Clippers were chipping the lead away the Cougars did not back down. The Cougars held strong to a double digit lead over the Clippers through the second half. At the end of the game the Clippers fell to the Cougars 58-76.
Krystina Agard topped the Clippers list off with 23 points while Alease Vaughn added 14 points of her own. Chanessa Blakemore nabbed up 8 rebounds and added 6 steals and 3 blocks for her night.
The Clippers will next host American International College on Monday, January 17th at 5:00pm.
