Clippers drops to East Stroudsburg

The Clippers continued their beginning of the season road trip with a visit to the East Stroudsburg University Warriors.  The Clippers started the game off just seven seconds into the game with a layup by Khea Gibbs.

The Warriors then entered the game with a 12-3 scoring run to take their first lead of the game.  With back to back buckets from Shelley Monahan the Clippers started to climb back into the game.  The Clippers then took the lead by one point but a trade off with the Warriors started.  Through the next eight minutes the Clippers went back and forth with the Warriors trading the lead eight different times along with three different scoring ties.  The Clippers then took a four point lead with four minutes to go in the half off of a Krystina Agard three pointer.  The Warriors fought back to try and retake the lead but the Clippers held on tight to their lead heading into the second half.

The Clippers started the second half up by just one point, 31-30.  With the first few minutes of the second half going by and no one scoring, the Clippers saw their lead dissapear as the Warriors took the lead with a jump shot.  The Warriors then stretched out their lead over the Clippers as the Clippers started to run into turnovers and missed shots.  With a little less than eight minutes to go in the game a three pointer from Agard sent the Clippers on an 11-0 scoring run through the next six minutes.  The Warriors took the last lead of the game with a few minutes left and held off the Clippers.  The Clippers fell in the final minutes 49-56.

Krystina Agard tossed up 14 points and added 7 rebounds and 4 steals.  Chanessa Blakemore hit the boards strong collecting 11 rebounds for the game while adding 7 points, 3 steals and 3 blocks.
