Monahan posts 16 points as Clippers fall to St. Anselm's.

The Clippers continued their weekend road trip as they faced off against the St. Anselm's College Hawks.  The Clippers started off well as they posted the first points of the game thanks to Shelley Monahan with a layup and Krystina Agard with an and one. 

The Clippers then worked hard to keep their lead over the Hawks throughout the first half.  The Hawks threatened at many points pulling within three points at mulitple times through the next several minutes of game play.  With shots coming from Monahan and added ones from Chanessa Blakemore and Katie Nikosey, the Clippers kept the Hawks at bay until the end of the half.  As they headed into the lockerroom the Clippers lead 24-18.

The Hawks came out in the second half and started with a couple of shots to tie the game up in just a three minutes time.  The Clippers fought back to regain the lead but the Hawks were circling and took the lead with 12:46 left in the game.  The Hawks then went on a 15-5 scoring run over the Clippers in the following ten minutes of play.  Though the Clippers tried to cut their deficit and go ahead but time ran out and the Clippers fell 43-54.

Shelley Monahan posted 16 points while Chanessa Blakemore hit the boards with 15 rebounds.

The Clippers will head to East Stroudsburg University on Wednesday, November 17th before opening at home on Saturday, November 20th at 1:00pm with New York Institute of Technology.
