Softball Hosts Bloomfield In Home Opener Wednesday

BRONXVILLE, N.Y. – The Concordia College New York softball team plays its first home contest of the season on Wednesday, Mar. 27, when Bloomfield College comes to the Clipper Softball Field for a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CAC) doubleheader set to begin at 3 p.m.

Berezny also leads the team with 10 RBI and matches Clark and sophomore shortstop Stephanie Ryder (New Rochelle, N.Y.) with five walks while Gardus swipes a team-high four bases.

On the mound, Concordia holds a team ERA of 4.35 with 31 strikeouts and 27 walks in 72.1 innings. Sophomore RHP Ashley Walsh (Scranton, Pa.) sports a team-low 3.50 ERA with two victories, matching junior righty MacKenna Powell (Milford, Pa.) who adds a team-best 16 strikeouts in a team-leading 35.1 innings of work over a team-high six appearances with five complete games while freshman RHP Madison Shura (Wallingford, Conn.) holds the Clippers' lone save.

Bloomfield (4-9, 2-2 CACC) travels to East Stroudsburg University for a doubleheader on Tuesday, Mar. 26 prior to the conference tilt, taking a hiatus from league play after falling at Felician University 8-4 and 11-7 on Tuesday Mar. 19.
