Concordia Concludes Season at CACC Championships on Sunday

Philadelphia, Pa. – The Concordia Clippers cross country teams concluded their season on Sunday as they participated in the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Championship event. The men would finish in 10th while the women captured a 14th place finish in their respective races.

In the men's 8K race, junior James Ebersole (San Antonio, Texas) finished first for Concordia with a time of 34:44, placing him 58th overall. Junior Martin Miedzowicz (Montevideo, Uruguay) crossed the finish line with a time of 38:14 while sophomore Daniel Koehler (Glendale, N.Y.) ended with a time of 43:20. Sophomores Ian Lescouflair (Bronx, N.Y.) and Jake Matranga (Yorktown Heights, N.Y.) rounded out the times for the Clippers with times of 48:33 and 49:43 respectively.

In the women's 5K race, freshman Emily Schwiederek (Bridgewater, N.J.) led the team with a time of 23:37 finishing in 46th overall. Junior Jennie Heisler (Buffalo, N.Y.) crossed the finish line with a time of 27:18 while senior Chanessa Blakemore (Albany, N.Y.) finished with a time of 31:13. Juniors Arafat Omidiran (Nigeria) and Katherine Spreitzer (New York, N.Y.) finished seconds apart with times of 32:21 and 32:40 to round out the times for Concordia.
