Men’s Tennis Hosts Fairleigh Dickinson Wednesday

BRONXVILLE, N.Y. – The No. 17 Concordia College New York men's tennis team entertains its first of two-consecutive National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division I opponents on Wednesday, Feb. 12 in a 1 p.m. match against Fairleigh Dickinson University.

About the Clippers
Concordia (1-0) resumes its season-opening homestand after kicking off the 2020 campaign with a 7-0 victory over regionally-ranked Franklin Pierce University on Saturday, Feb. 8.

Juniors Michele Fenoaltea (Rome, Italy) and Tobias Lentz (Aarhus, Denmark), Henry Masters (Northampton, England), Tomer Mendler (Tel Aviv, Israel) and sophomore Jonatan Lundahl (Alingsas, Sweden) are all undefeated in both singles and doubles play this spring, with junior William Nilsson (Bastad, Sweden) winning his doubles match against FPU while sophomore Jan Godfrey Seno (Cebu City, Philippines) boasts a singles triumph at the top position. Within the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) National Rankings, Fenoaltea and Lentz are the seventh-ranked doubles unit while Nilsson and Godfrey Seno sit 23rd.

Fairleigh Dickinson (0-3) begins the second half of its season-opening six-match road swing after falling at Navy 5-2 on Saturday, Feb. 8.

Teodors Pukse is undefeated at the top singles position for FDU this spring, adding one triumph at the no. one doubles position alongside Niclas Pietsch. Moric Budinszky and Ivan Diaz Solans match the Knights duo with one doubles triumph.
