Tarangioli Reveals 2020 Men’s Tennis Schedule

BRONXVILLE, N.Y. – Concordia College New York Head Men's Tennis Coach Neil Tarangioli released the program's 2020 schedule on Monday, featuring 24 contests with 13 at the friendly confines of the Meyers Tennis Center.

"What we have tried to do with the schedule is to challenge the team right from the beginning," Assistant Coach Daniel Rockhill Said. "We have a veteran team that should be able to sort through these difficult matches and gain momentum into our spring trip. With any good luck, we should be well prepared for our conference match ups. It is not going to be easy and it is essential that we stay healthy if we are to achieve the success that many are accustomed to witnessing."

Concordia's 2020 docket kicks off with a four-game homestand, welcoming Franklin Pierce University (Feb. 8), Fairleigh Dickinson University (Feb. 12), Wagner College (Feb. 15) and Adelphi University (Feb. 22). Other non-conference opponents making the trip to the Meyers Tennis Center include the College of Staten Island (Mar. 14), National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division II National Tournament participant Southern New Hampshire University (Mar. 27), St. Thomas Aquinas College (Mar. 21) and St. Francis College (April 7).

Following the season-opening homestand, the Clippers travel down south for four matches in Florida with two against 2019 NCAA Division II National Tournament qualifiers in Flagler College and Grand Valley State on top of contests against Cedarville College and the University of Findlay between Mar. 2-6. Concordia also travels to the University of the District of Columbia (Mar. 29) and 2019 NCAA postseason participant Queens College (April 14) in non-conference play.

The Clippers 2020 Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) slate begins on Mar. 18 at Post University. Concordia hosts Chestnut Hill College (Mar. 20), University of the Sciences (Mar. 21), Jefferson University (Mar. 24), Post (April 7) and Dominican College (N.Y.) (April 15) with road trips to CHC (Mar. 26), Dominican (April 1), Jefferson (April 4) and USciences (April 18) as part of the double round-robin schedule.

The 2020 CACC Championship, hosted by Post in Middlebury, Conn., begins on April 25 with the Championship match the following day.

The Clippers are coming off an 18-4 campaign, advancing to the NCAA Round of 16 and ending the year ranked 26th by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA).
