Lentz Named CACC Men's Tennis Player Of The Month

NEW HAVEN, Conn. – The Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) announced its men's tennis monthly award winners for September on Friday morning, with Concordia College's junior Tobias Lentz (Aarhus, Denmark) being tabbed the league's Player of the Month.

Making his Concordia debut at the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) East Regional, Lentz teamed up with fellow junior Michele Fenoaltea (Rome, Italy) to claim the doubles titles behind a 5-0 record with two triumphs against CACC pairings, including a 6-2, 6-3 triumph over teammates junior William Nilsson (Bastad, Sweden) and sophomore Jan Godfrey Seno (Cebu City, Philippines) in the final round. In the singles draw, Lentz went 3-1 with all his victories coming in straight sets.

It is Lentz's first honor from the CACC.

Lentz and Fenoaltea advance to the ITA Cup, where the doubles duo will take on the other seven National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division II regional champions, with play set to begin at the Rome Tennis Center at Berry College on Thursday, Oct. 17.
