Men’s Tennis Lands Three On CACC All-Academic Team

NEW HAVEN, Conn. – The Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) announced its Men's Tennis All-Academic Team on Wednesday afternoon, with senior Lars Olson (Chatham, N.Y.) and sophomores Henry Masters (Northampton, England) and Tomer Mendler (Tel Aviv, Isreal) representing Concordia College New York on the team.

To be eligible for the All-Academic Team, a student-athletes must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.5 at the end of the immediate preceding term, minimum of two semesters enrolled as full-time student at member institution, be second year student-athlete at member institution and have been athletically eligible the season preceding the award and used a season of eligibility.

A History major, Olson holds a 3.68 GPA while going 6-1 in singles action with an umblemished 4-0 mark in dual-match play to go with a 3-2 record in doubles.

A 2019 CACC All-Conference Second Team honoree, Masters entered the spring with a 3.73 GPA as a Business Administration major on top of 26 combined victories behind a 14-6 record in doubles and 12-6 mark in singles.

A member of the 2018 CACC All-Conference Second Team, Mendler has a 3.90 GPA as a Business Administration major with an 8-2 record in singles action.

Having already clinched a spot in in the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) National Championships with the CACC Championship title, the men's tennis team awaits its seeding with the regional rounds set to begin on Saturday, May 11 at sites to be determined.
