Men’s Tennis Moves Up In National Rankings

National Team Poll | National Singles Poll | National Doubles Poll 

BRONXVILLE, N.Y. – The Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) released its latest Division II National Polls on Wednesday afternoon, with the Concordia College New York men's tennis team climbing up the National Team Poll to currently sit 28th in the country while the pairing of sophomore Michele Fenoaltea (Rome, Italy) and freshman Maximilian Grundmann (Schwerte, Germany) reentered the National Doubles Poll.

The Clippers were 14-3 at the time of the new poll, holding a 2-1 record against programs nationally-ranked with their lone loss against a Division II foe coming via a 4-3 setback against currently-ranked fifth Flagler College while holding a 4-3 triumph over No. 36 Grand Valley State University and 7-0 sweep of No. 50 Chestnut Hill College. Concordia has been on the winning side of eight-consecutive 7-0 decisions.

Fenoaltea, the team's leader in total wins with 34 combined and an 18-2 mark in singles action, fell in the National Singles Poll to No. 53..

In the National Doubles poll, Fenoaltea and senior Eymeric Chevalier (Bordeaux, France) fell to No. 47, one position ahead of Fenoaltea and Grundmann who are riding a team-best nine-match winning streak.

The men's tennis team returns to action on Saturday, April 27 in the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Championships at the Meyers Tennis Center.
