Men’s Tennis Welcomes Jefferson Saturday For Conference Opener

BRONXVILLE, N.Y. – The No. 20 Concordia College New York men's tennis team begins its journey for a ninth Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) championship on Saturday, Mar. 16 when Jefferson University comes to the Meyers Tennis Center for a 12:00 p.m. match to start league play.

About the Clippers
Concordia (5-3) returns to the friendly confines of the Meyers Tennis Center after going 3-1 during the program's spring break trip, ending play in Orlando, Fla., with a 4-3 setback against No. 15 Flagler College on Friday, Mar. 8.

Sophomore William Nilsson (Bastad, Sweden) and freshman Jan Godfrey Seno (Cebu City, Philippines) both have nine dual-match victories this spring, with Godfrey Seno boasting a perfect 7-0 mark in singles action while Nilsson matches senior Eymeric Chevalier (Bordeaux, France), sophomore Michele Fenoaltea (Rome, Italy) and freshman Maximilian Grundmann (Schwerte, Germany) with three triumphs in doubles play. Fenoaltea, the 10th-ranked singles player in Division II and reigning CACC Men's Tennis Player of The Week, boasts a team-leading 20 total victories with 12 triumphs in singles action and eight in doubles play primarily alongside Chevalier in the seventh-ranked doubles duo nationally.

Since joining the league in the 2009-10 academic year, the Clippers boast an unblemished 52-0 record in conference play.

About the Rams
Jefferson (2-2) hosts Cabrini in its first match of the spring prior to traveling to Bronxville, N.Y., on Friday, Mar. 15.

Milan Mirkovic paced Jefferson during its fall slate with a 3-0 record at the Rams' top singles position while going 1-1 at the top doubles flight for four total victories. Liviu Trifoi matched Mirkovic's singles win total, going 3-1 overall.
