New Haven, Conn. – For the third consecutive year senior Daniele Piludu (Cagliari, Italy) was named the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference's (CACC) Player of the Year as announced by the conference office on Tuesday afternoon. Piludu's POTY recognition is one of many awards the sixth-ranked Clippers received in men's tennis from the CACC.

The CACC First Team All-Conference was made up of five players from Concordia out of the seven spots. Joining Piludu on the CACC First Team is sophomore Ofir Ginat (Raa'nana, Israel), junior Juuso Ojanen (Varkaus, Finland), junior Tomasz Olfans (Opole, Poland), and junior Benas Majauskas (Vilnius, Lithuania).

The CACC Second Team features freshman Pulat Babadjanov (Tashkent, Uzbekistan) and sophomore Rafael Ferreira (Sao Paulo, Brazil) while senior Ricardo Frey (Curitiba, Brazil) was named a CACC Honorable Mention.

Concordia finished the regular season with a 6-0 CACC record as all of their victories came 9-0. The Clippers claimed their fifth straight CACC Regular Season Championship last Friday behind the leadership of head coach Neil Tarangioli who was also named the CACC Coach of the Year in men's tennis. Tarangioli recently eclipsed the 500 win plateau and currently has 506 victories to date.

The men's tennis team will look to capture their fifth straight CACC Tournament Championship this weekend as Concordia will take on Post University in a semi-final match on Saturday. The match will take place at Chestnut Hill College in Philadelphia, Pa. as the action is set to begin at 10 a.m. The winner of the CACC Tournament will earn an automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament this May.
