Concordia’s Benas Majauskas Named CACC Player of the Week in Men’s Tennis

New Haven, Conn. – Concordia junior Benas Majauskas (Vilnius, Lithuania) has been named the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Player of the Week in men's tennis, as announced by the CACC on Monday afternoon.

Majauskas was perfect in singles play which included a 6-0, 6-3 win against Chestnut Hill in the No. 3 singles match. He would also record a 4-6, 6-3, 10-8 come-from-behind victory against #1 West Florida's Kenny Brasil, the 38th-ranked singles player in the country, at No. 3 singles. In doubles Benas would partner with senior Daniele Piludu (Cagliari, Italy) and claimed an 8-1 victory in the No. 1 doubles match against Chestnut Hill's Yoann Pham and Steven Say. For the week Majauskas held a 2-2 doubles record.

The sixth-ranked Clippers (11-3, 3-0 CACC) will next be on the road Tuesday afternoon for a CACC match at USciences.
