Daniele Piludu Named CACC Player of the Week in Men’s Tennis

New Haven, Conn. – Concordia senior Daniele Piludu (Cagliari, Italy) has been named the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Player of the Week in men's tennis, as announced by the CACC on Monday afternoon.

Piludu, the fifth-ranked singles player in the country, led the Clippers with a 6-0, 6-0 victory in his No. 2 singles match against the University of the District of Columbia's Ike Kiro. Piludu and teammate Benas Majauskas (Vilnius, Lithuania), the top-ranked duo in the country, earned an 8-4 win over Miguel Uzcategui and Kiro in the No. 1 match to help guide the sixth-ranked Concordia men's tennis team to a 9-0 victory over the Firebirds.

The Clippers (5-1, 0-0 CACC) will next host Caldwell on Tuesday afternoon to open up their CACC schedule. The match is set to begin at 3:30 p.m. at the Meyers Tennis Center on the campus of Concordia College.
